Kovil Home Stay offers a typical experience of traditional Hindu culture and living. Located in close proximity to the Amman Kovil Temple, priority is given to the traditional rituals and festivals. The guests are treated and served in the traditional manner and hospitality.

The surrounding area has numerous streets and dwellings, which still portrays the age old culture and habitat, closely connected to the temples. Staying at Kovil, you get to experience this traditional live style. The narrow streets are decodated with "Kolams", typical designs drawn in front of the houses, using flour, early in the morning. Most of the residents in the area, have an indepth connection to art and art forms. Our guests get a chance to interact and learn from them as well.

Along with the traditional lifestyle and cluture, the guests also get to experience and enjoy the equisite beach culture, which Fort Kochi has to offer. Ideally located in a traditional Hindu locale, yet very near to the heritage zone, Kovil offers its guests, a combination of lifestyles. Its just what Fort Kochi is famous for - a mixed culure, aquired over the centuries, from the British, the Portugues, the French and the Dutch, all of whom have left their mark in this wonderful land. 

The age old buildings and streets in Fort Kochi, still portrays the splendid French architecture. The Santa Cruz Baslica, The Dutch Cemetry, St. Francis Church, The Jewish Synagogue, as well as the wonderful mansions like Koder House, takes you back to the colonial era. The historic buildings like the Bishop's House and the Bastin Bunglow, still have ruins of ancient tunnels which the colonial invaders had built for their defence and trade.
